How Modelling Destroyed my Self Image

Diminished to little more than a clothes horse with no mind - just a body - I started to blame myself for being 'ugly'. I would compare myself, judge myself and take myself down to a disgustingly shallow level. It wasn’t something I verbalised, but raged against the whole industry till the point where I quit, because I would rather be myself than a wisp of what they wanted me to be. Still the internal battle continued.
